Dr. Tariq Javed, MD

Dedicated to the care and preservation of kidney function and helping people who suffer from kidney disorders, hypertension or diabetes, Dr. Javed is a recognized specialist in the field of Nephrology and continually praised by patients for his caring approach to their treatment and true concern for helping them manage and improve their health.

Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Nephrology, Dr. Javed’s specialties includes Hypertension, Diabetes, and the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disorders. Many of his patients come to him from primary and family physicians who trust his expertise in helping people suffering from kidney disease and other issues related to kidney health.

Dr. Javed moved to the U.S. after attending medical school in Pakistan. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Queens Hospital Center in New York. He then moved to New Orleans, to complete his nephrology fellowship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation, where he served as Chief Fellow. He is licensed to practice in both California and Louisiana.

Dr. Javed is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Nephrology and has been recognized for his achievements with Fellow/Resident Research Awards and Nephrology Young Investigator Scholar Award. He resides with his family in Visalia, CA, is fluent in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, and enjoys spending time playing racquetball, cycling, hiking, swimming and reading.
